Bali gradually moves down to Level 3 - Sep 14, 2021
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno also has stated that Bali's economic activities began to expand after experiencing a contraction due to the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM). The tourism sector and its derivatives are showing activity again, although still limited.
"I consider this a good sign that the tourism and economic sectors in Bali are now starting to revive," said Sandiaga in a written statement, Monday, September 13, 2021.
Although the trend of tourism sector activities has moved in a positive direction, Sandiaga said the government has no plans to fully open Bali, especially for foreign tourists. The entrance for foreign tourists will operate if the Covid-19 transmission rate can be suppressed.
Citing data from the National Disaster Management Agency or BNPB, Sandiaga said as of September 12, there were 152 positive confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Bali. The government, he said, is trying to reduce this figure.
Head of the Division of Promotion and Development of Tanah Lot Tourist Destinations (DTW) Kadek Niti also was reported saying the increase in domestic tourist visits was recorded at more than 500 people per day. "Since Wednesday (September 8) for the first time, tourist attractions have been opened, only 180 tourists have registered, but it is increasing day by day and Sunday (September 12) it has reached more than 500 people," he said, Monday, September 13, 2021.
According to Niti, tourist visits are dominated by domestic tourists , because foreign tourists can enter Indonesia. "During the process, yesterday's most visits reached 650 people, among domestic tourists, while there were no foreign tourists," he said.
In detail, the number of visits on Wednesday (8 September) was 189 visitors, Thursday (9 September) there were 241 visitors, Friday (10 September) there were 306 visitors, Saturday (11 September) there were 512 visitors and Sunday (12 September) 650 person.
Niti said that every visitor who comes must have the PeduliLindung application to find out the vaccine certificate and Covid-19 data. Visitors are also required to apply health protocols in a disciplined manner.
According to Niti, the officers will always be around to monitor visitors in the upper area and the beach area of Tanah Lot. “Masks can be removed just to take documentation or eat and drink,” he said.
