G20 in Bali May Affect Some Travellers

There is an update on Community Activity restriction which is regulated in Governor of Bali Circular Letter number 34525 year 2022 to be implemented during the G20 Summit Period.

  • Restricted Community Activities in certain route/area surround the G20 Venues includes the dates  12 -18 November. 
  • Restricted School Activities for school located in District (Kecamatan) of Kuta, South Kuta, Badung Regency (Kabupaten) and South Denpasar from 12 – 17 November 2022 which will be held online.
  • Request to Head of Governmental Offices, Private and State Own Enterprises to have their employees who reside in District (Kecamatan) of Kuta, South Kuta, Badung Regency (Kabupaten) and South Denpasar to work from home from 12 – 17 November 2022.

If you are arriving or departing Bali please check with your hotel on any restrictions to make sure if you will be affected when traveling to/via/pass the route of the venue for G20 during dates mentioned in the Circular Letter.

If you need to fly out of Bali, please make sure you allow enough traveling time to the airport.

  • During the G20 period 12 – 18 November 2022, Bali International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai’s operational hours will be 24 hours.
  • There are restrictions on operation hours for regular flight  in the Bali International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai on the 14 November 2022 and 17 November 2022. Please refers to the detail on the restriction in the attached unofficial translation.
  • There are also restrictions on aircraft ground time. Aircraft with wide body is maximum 105 minutes and aircraft with narrow body is maximum 105 minutes.
